That's me!

I've been fortunate enough to have been every "type" of product manager there is. Building ML products to rolling out a design system to growing a key metric from 20k to 8M whilst leading highly technical teams has enabled me to generate a foundational framework for most product problems.

As defined by John Lewis, I'm a creator of “good trouble” by nature. I developed a feedback framework called "SABINS". I launched Indeed’s first set of People Manager expectations, enhanced the APM recruiting process to be more equitable, and led a cultural revitalization for a Top 10 Undergraduate Business School.

I have track record of crafting novel Business and Go-To-Market strategies for large Enterprises and early-stage start-ups. Using systems thinking to exploit an organizations most high fidelity assets and crafting a utilization strategy and story around them gives me energy.

As the Founder of Full-Stack Product Manager, I dedicate time to building the next generation of builders and thinkers. We've curated a best-in-class curriculum to enable early-career PMs to excel in mid-sized organizations. Prior to the launch of my own edtech organization, I supported the product education of adult learners by piloting 2U education's first Product Management Bootcamp, and I currently serve as a Founder coach, curriculum curator, and instructor for college students through the Black Venture Capital Consortium.

Engineering Manager in SMB

While working on the interview management: phase 1 epic, there were some system constraints and interdependencies that required revisiting our original scope of work and even creating a few new solutions on-the-fly. Diamonde listened to this advice from the engineering teams and found ways to still meet her objectives while allowing Engineering team members to take more cost-efficient routes forward.

Being user centric, she keeps the user experience in mind when creating the vision and design, and dares to challenge the existing designs (e.g. interview management was designed to be on candidate list on a per job level, she brought up that it should be advertiser level and not limited to a job, which makes a lot of sense).

Partner Product Manager in SMB

She has synthesized a compelling vision for Interview Management that I am incredibly excited to see realized. She has solicited feedback every step of the way, and pulled in both qualitative and quantitative insights to support her vision. She comes to discussions with a strong viewpoint that she is able to defend, but is open to feedback and adjusting as appropriate. She effectively influenced me to hold off on a test, framing the conversation around user experience and simplicity and bringing everything back to the problem we are trying to solve.

Teammate on UI/UX Standardization

Diamonde is always looking to improve processes by requesting regular feedback from the team. We have a weekly team meeting to discuss status and collectively address any issues and blockers; Diamonde is always quick to act on any actionable items from those meetings to help boost team efficiency.

She shows true ownership in leading projects and her team members. She has a way of rallying the team together to improve team morale and performance. Before issues arose she always seemed one step ahead of others and management which prevented major hiccups. I really appreciated her willingness to better understand her team members and identify ways to help foster more effective collaboration amongst the team.

Diamonde is an amazing TA. I learned many, many things from her during the PM bootcamp and I really appreciate the real life examples she provided (which most of the times were the highlight of the class). She’s a critical thinker, all the feedback received from her during class, office hours and in our assignments was on point and always provided value. It’s worth mentioning that her enthusiasm is very contagious and she made the classes and office hours more valuable and enjoyable.

Diamonde worked as a lead Teaching Assistant and Substitute Instructor for our Product Management Boot Camp program at UT Austin. Diamonde brought the content alive by pairing insightful discourse and reflection while pushing students to reflect on direction and outcomes along each step of the way. With her guidance and encouragement she was able to support students in the art of best practices in the PM landscape.

Diamonde had the innate ability to consistently push students to ask the right questions and to think about the full scope of a problem and solution. When students came to solution, she  would ask questions from multiple angles the students likely had not thought about while they solved the problem. It became easy to recognize Diamonde's expertise and understand how her skillset allowed her to become so successful as a Product Manager. In my career, I have had the opportunity to lead both large and small teams. Diamonde is the type of individual I want on my team. She will excel in her role, but will also assist and push those around her to be better.

Diamonde is a professional who can be relied upon to collaborate, compliment, question, and challenge appropriately to the benefit of the each team, project, or desired outcome she is taking part in. Her ownership of tasks displays powerful investment to group goals and her precision and care for detail seem fundamental to her approach to work. As I move forward in my own career, I will look to her example as a goal for myself.

When I started my fundraising journey for WriteSea in early 2022, Diamonde and I had one conversation that changed the trajectory of my efforts. Over a 30-minute call, it became very apparent that she was a natural at assessing market dynamics, competitive advantages, and the perception of investors on our pitch. She offered her time for free and helped me discover the true product-market fit of my solution. I was already making significant headways and having tons of VC calls, but the ideas she brought to the table were game-changing.

Diamonde was extremely helpful when it came to thinking about our long term vision for the company. We had a deep discussion about when it makes sense for a CPG company to fundraise vs bootstrap in order to scale. We also discussed brand messaging on site and how we communicate the sanitization process to new users. We are currently changing our website to show how women suffering from alopecia or other conditions can use our service in a safe manner.
