Problem

SMBs do not have a discoverable and centralized surface to manage their interview events conveniently

  • Only approx. 1/10th of customers had scheduled at least 1 interview in the past
  • A fraction of those users had at least 1 scheduled interview
  • A little over half of the users scheduling actually showed up to their interviews
  • It takes ~20 clicks to access a scheduled interview

Situation

In response to COVID Indeed made a Big Bet to have interview conversations occur on Indeed, launching our own hosted interview platform. To realize this ambitious goal, my team sourced qualitative and quantitative data that informed problem statements that we built into our roadmap.

We first wanted to solve a fundamental problem for existing users who were using our scheduling tool, but weren’t yet scheduling hosted Indeed interviews.

Solution

Centralize all scheduled interviews across all of a customer’s active jobs.

Outcome

Grew user base to 70k advertisers to date

Methodology

We leveraged our existing micro-frontend system to inject a new container in an existing plugin that housed the new interview management plugin. This required coordination with our Interview Scheduling service team, our Indeed Interview team, and events team.
